Stainless Steel Balustrade – End Post – Handrail

Finish your modular glass and stainless steel balustrade and handrail with this low maintenance, easy to install end post. The tubular post is 42.4mm in diameter and is suppled predrilled with holes for 2 glass clamps and bolts, which are also included. The end post is finished with a fixed handrail bracket, making it suitable for use on projects with over 600mm fall height such as raised decks and balconies. The post has a circular base plate and measures 1170mm high (1100mm post with 70mm bracket). Glass clamps measure L65mm x W44mm x D27mm. Designed for added corrosion resistance, the exterior grade 316 stainless steel contains 2% molybdenum for improved corrosion resistance and has an ultra-smooth and contemporary 400 grit brushed satin finish. While 316 stainless steel is renowned for its corrosion resistance, it is not immune to the potentially corrosive effects of exposure to salt, particularly in coastal areas. While it may provide enhanced protection compared to 304 stainless steel, the relentless presence of salt in sea air and its corrosive nature can still impact the material. Therefore, we do not recommend installing 316 stainless steel balustrade railings within a 10 mile proximity to the sea.
